Naveen-ul-Haq and Virat Kohli seem to have a complicated connection. Right from the day Royal Challengers Bangalore star Virat Kohli had an on-pitch altercation with Lucknow Super Giants pacer Naveen during an IPL 2023 match in Lucknow at the beginning of this month, almost everything the duo do especially on social media , has been linked to that incident by fans. During an RCB-Mumbai Indians game, Naveen recently posted a photo of mangoes and even that was associated with that incident.
In a video widely shared on social media, Naveen can be seen being the subject of sledding by onlookers chanting ‘Kohli, Kohli’. A batter of the Mumbai Indians can be seen on the giant screen in the background of Naveen. therefore it can be assumed that the video was shot at Ekana cricket stadium in Lucknow during MI’s match against LSG. To the ‘Kohli, Kohli’ chants, Naveen even responds, signaling the crowd to shout louder.

Recently, in a video shared by the Lucknow Super Giants, Naveen was asked about a ‘sleigh incident’ that happened in his career. The Pacer from Afghanistan recalled an event from a First Class game. Naveen, speaking to LSG teammate Avesh Khan, was split in two when the question about ‘sledging’ came up.
Avesh Khan: Your favorite sleigh on the cricket field done by you or someone else?
Naveen-ul-Haq: I never sold anyone in the beginning, that’s not my habit. There was a First Class match where I was on the non-rush end with whom I had a bit of a sleigh incident. The man acting in slip position was recently married. He asked us to finish the game quickly as it was the last wicket. He said he had to go home because of work. That’s a sled incident I remember from the First Class Game.
Avesh Khan: This was a funny incident, but how about a serious incident.
Naveen-ul-Haq: A serious one never happened.
