Referees Nitin Menon and Jayaraman Madanagopal, along with ICC match referee Javagal Srinath, will be the Indian representatives at the upcoming T20 World Cup in America next month. The ICC on Friday announced the list of 26 match officials who will be in charge of the first round of the month-long event that will take place in the United States of America (US) and the West Indies from June 2. 20 referees who will officiate in 55 matches across nine venues, including renowned ICC referees: Richard Illingworth, Kumar Dharmasena, Chris Gaffaney and Paul Reiffel.
Besides Madanagopal, Sam Nogajski, Allahudien Paleker, Rashid Riaz and Asif Yaqoob will also make their debut in the ICC senior men's competition.
As far as the six umpires are concerned, Ranjan Madugalle, Jeff Crowe and Andrew Pycroft besides Srinath will also be among the renowned umpires.
“Within the selected cohort, we have a complement of experienced match officials and other high-performing members who are recognized for their strong and consistent performances,” ICC General Manager Wasim Khan said in an ICC release.
“The continuation of the Pathway program will continue to see the development and emergence of high-quality match officials across the game.
“We are proud of the team we have put together.
