After a thrilling competitive phase, the 2023 IPL playoffs kicked off with a high-profile qualifier 1 between four-time champions Chennai Super Kings and defending champions Gujarat Titans. After Hardik Pandya chose to bowl, GT had an early success, well, a bit, as Darshan Nalkande dismissed CSK opener Ruturaj Gaikwad on the third ball from the second over as Shubman Gill took a nice catch. The GT star in form started to celebrate, only to realize it was a no-ball moments later. Gaikwad went on to hit half a century.
