Virat Kohli responds to Steve Smith’s review©Twitter
Steve Smith was embarrassed after a terrible review that forced Virat Kohli and even his teammate Marnus Labuschagne to laugh out loud during the third ODI meeting between India and Australia in Chennai on Wednesday. During the 10e At the end of the innings, Kohli chased a pitch from Sean Abbott outside the stump and most Australian fielders were convinced he shoved it at the keeper. Smith went for the review, but replays showed the ball was nowhere near the bat and the third umpire didn’t even bother checking the ultra-edge. Smith was visibly sheepish after the rerun was shown, and Kohli couldn’t help but laugh at Smith’s decision to do the review.

A nice opening spell from Hardik Pandya and a penetrating try from Kuldeep Yadav put a tight line around Australian batters before his tail wagged considerably to take the visitors to a fighting 269 all-out.
Worst review by Steve Smith 😅

While Pandya (3/44 in 8 overs) shaved off the top half, Kuldeep’s (3/56 in 10 overs) rhythm and trickery on a helpful Chennai course was the biggest takeaway as the latter’s effort to remove Alex Carey knocked the ball off the series.

It was a classic leg break from a left arm wrist spinner hitting the southpaw and Kuldeep’s ecstasy was on display there.
The difference between bat and ball was about a sandpaper.
Maybe that’s why #Steve Smith missed it. #INDvAUS #Kohli pic.twitter.com/Tai7qmAJAH

India were in control after pinning Australia at 138 for 5 but set a score of 58 runs between Carey and Marcus Stoinis for the sixth wicket and 42 for the eighth wicket between Sean Abbott (26) and Ashton Agar (17) them almost 250 as Mitchell Starc and Adam Zampa added 22 precious runs for the last wicket.
What looked like a good pitch to win for Australia after Mitchell put Marsh (47 off 47 balls) and Travis Head (33 off 31 balls) on 68 for the opening stand, didn’t seem so as Pandya threw three different pitches in his first three overs to fully seize the momentum in favor of the hosts.
