After playing a few exhibition games in Perth, the Rohit Sharma-led Team India arrived in Brisbane on Saturday. Team India will play two warm-up matches at the Gabba in Brisbane, against Australia and New Zealand respectively. The India Cricket Board of Trustees took to Twitter and posted a video of the Indian team’s trip to Brisbane. The video shows players greeting fans and signing autographs. “Touchdown Brisbane,” the BCCI captioned the video on Twitter.

Meanwhile, the BCCI announced on Friday that veteran pacer Mohammed Shami will replace the injured Jasprit Bumrah in India’s squad.
Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur were also added to the team as reserve players.
Despite the injuries, Rohit insisted the team was ready for the challenge with the players present.
“Injuries are an essential part of the sport. Injuries will occur when we play so many games, so our focus for the past year has been building banking strength,” Rohit told reporters at a press conference in Melbourne.
“Our focus is to try to back up and give them chances. The bowlers who are with us to the World Cup have played enough games.”
Notably, India has not won an ICC trophy since 2013, when they won the Champions Trophy in England.
India will play their first warm-up match against Australia on Monday, before taking on New Zealand on Wednesday.
