Virat Kohli emerged as a man on a mission in the 2nd T20I. Kohli has had a rather disappointing run so far with the bat against the Windies, having failed to score points in the three ODIs and the first T20I. The star batter tried to make up for it on Friday and looked impeccable as he scored limits at will at the start of India’s innings.
Captain Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav’s wickets fell around him, but he kept up India’s run-rate.
Kohli hit seven borders to reach the score of 46 and then decided to launch spinner Roston Chase to the border. Tall Jason Holder sat next to the ropes making a valiant effort but couldn’t prevent the ball from going over the ropes as Kohli raised his half-century in style.
Kohli looked set for a big one, but Chase almost immediately produced a fantastic delivery to get rid of the former India captain.
The ball spun from outside the stump and passed Kohli’s gate, between bat and toad, to hit the stumps. The Indian batter was bowled clean for 52 and again an innings by Kohli that promised so much ended in disappointment to him and the fans.

Kohli looked good in limited overs cricket and also produced some good shots in test cricket, but he hasn’t been able to score a century since November 2019.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma had recently asked the media not to harass Kohli by questioning his form. He had backed Kohli to get points quickly and the Indian No. 3 responded by scoring a close half-century on Friday.
