In one of the most bizarre incidents to have happened on a cricket pitch, a batter kept playing despite being bowled by the bowler, with the umpires getting it all wrong. During a game between Queensland Fire and Tasmanian Women Tigers in the Women’s National Cricket League in Australia, Queensland batter Georgia Voll was thrown out when bail was dismantled on off-stump after the ball missed the outside edge of the bat. However, the opposition did not really appeal and the umpires also did not see what had happened.
Even the commentators were stunned, thinking that the goalkeeper’s gloves would have loosened the locking agent as the batter casually stood as if it were just a play and a miss.

This gaffe proved to be inexpensive, however, as Sarah Coyte removed Voll for 31 runs. Coyte finished the game 3/40 in nine overs.
As lead batter, Queensland scored 223/6 in 48 overs (DLS) with opener Georgia Redmayne leading the score with 63 runs.
In response, Nicola Carey scored a stunning undefeated century to take her team past the 232 run goal (DLS method).

After her stellar run of 2/46 in 10 overs, Heather Graham proved to be a fantastic partner for Carey with the bat.
Graham showed great application in her percussion as she scored a well-calculated half-century and led the team to a five-wicket victory.
