T20 World Cup: Zimbabwean Wesley Madhevere takes the catch from Matthew Cross
Zimbabwe defeated Scotland by 5 wickets on Friday to become the second Group B team to qualify for the Super12 stage of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup. Scotland chose to bat first off Hobart and despite opener George Munsey anchoring the innings with a 54, the other batters failed to rally as the Scots scored a total of 132/6 in their 20 overs . The total was easily overhauled by the Zimbabweans with 9 balls left.
One of the standout moments of Zimbabwe’s disciplined effort on the pitch was a spectacular catch by Wesley Madhevere to sack Scotland’s Matthew Cross.
The ICC posted the video of the catch on its Instagram handles with the caption “Superman or Wesley Madhevere?”
