The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for applying for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship. Students who have not yet registered can register now until October 31st. To apply for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship, visit the official website at cbse.gov.in. Students who received the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship last year and wish to continue receiving it must apply for an extension before October 31. However, only those who have scored more than 50 percent in the 11th class exams can apply.

Applicants can go through the steps below before applying for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship:
Step 1: Navigate to the official website at cbse.gov.in
Step 2: Then tap on the link to the main website.
Step 3: Tap here to apply next to the public notice.
Step 4: A new page will appear on your screen.
Step 5: Click on the link to apply and complete the application form.
Step 6: Now upload the documents and submit the form.
Step 7: Finally, download the application form and print it out.
CBSE started the Single Girl Child Scholarship program in 2006. Eligible students can get Rs. 500 per month for up to two years as a scholarship.
The school fees for 10th grade should not exceed Rs. 1,500 per month for the whole year. Any increase in tuition fees over the next two years cannot total more than 10% compared to the initial tuition fee. This scholarship is for Indian citizens only. The student must continue her education in a school in the 11th and 12th grades. It is open to students who have passed the CBSE Class 10th exam in 2023. A student who receives this scholarship can also take advantage of other concessions or special offers offered by the school the girl attends.
