While students are waiting for the results of the Central Examination Board of the Secondary Examination (CBSE), most schools have started the process of preparing for the second semester exams. Unlike term 1, the second term will contain subjective questions. The board had changed the exam process this time around, so students may not be familiar with how to take the exams. Schools have helped their students through practice tests of the new paper pattern, exam revision and workshops.
Schools say the main focus for the CBSE term 2 boar exams 2022 is on writing good subjective answers. “Repeating chapters to reinforce concepts with an emphasis on regular written practice through worksheets, practice tests, etc. is done. Students are guided to use math tips and tricks to crack the questions in a smarter way and the main focus is on teaching nuances of writing subjective answers precisely but with all the important points in place,” says Seema Kaur , director of Pacific World School.

She added that special workshops are being held to familiarize students with the art of writing good subjective answers by highlighting underlining keywords, proper line spacing, etc. “It has become a regular part of helping them understand the need for good visual appeal… The idea is to give students enough written practice so that they can improve their answers with the right feedback and take the exam confidently,” she adds.
The second semester exams emphasize pen and paper exercises. The key to scoring well is reviewing basic concepts, preparing reasoning-based questions with their rationale, also working on case-study-based questions, managing your word limit according to the allotted time, explains Anshu Mittal, Director, MRG School, Rohini out.
“We recommend that students start reading using answer keys to understand expected questions. Students should work on their language expression using introduction, body, conclusion for each answer category. We prepare our students to take both online and offline exams. Students have become afraid of taking exams offline because they don’t last long in practice,” adds Mittal.
