CTET Expected Closing
Candidates can get an idea of the expected cut-off by looking at the cut-offs from previous years. In 2019, candidates for the general category had to score 90 points and for the SC, ST and OBC category this was 85 points. In 2018, the limit for the CTET was 90 points for general category candidates, 85 points for OBC candidates, 80 for SC and ST candidates.
Looking at the previous year’s limits, it is expected that the overall limit for the category this year will be 90 or higher and can range from 80 to 85 points for the candidates for the reserved category.
Those who qualify are eligible for teacher jobs in their category. Those who clear paper 1 are eligible to teach classes 1 to 5, while those who clear paper 2 can teach classes 6 to 8. CTET 2021 was held for more than 1.47 lakh candidates, only 4.14 lakh qualified in paper 1. In paper 2, out of more than 11 lakh candidates who registered for the exam, a whopping 2.29 lakh passed. After releasing the scorecards, the board will release the category cut-off list. The certificate is eligible for life.
