Candidates who have registered for PhD admission at DU, JNU, BHU, BBAU have till September 24 at 11:50 PM to make changes in their application
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the dates for the PhD entrance exam 2023 for DU, JNU, BHU and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU). The PhD entrance exam will be held on October 26, 27, 30 and 31 as per the schedule, and the application correction window will open from tomorrow, September 23. The time table for the subject is available for candidates to view on the official website, phd-entrance.samarth.ac.in.
Candidates who have registered for PhD admissions at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Banaras Hindu University, Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University have till September 24 at 11:50 PM to make changes in their applications.
A formal announcement from NTA reads: “National Testing Agency to initiate Ph.D. Entrance Test for DU, JNU, BHU and BBAU – 2023 on October 26, 27, 30 and 31, 2023 at various exam centers in different cities of India in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.”
According to NTA, if there is a change that affects the fee, an additional fee will have to be paid before the changes take effect. The applicants are urged to correct their login details carefully as there will be no other option for them to do so as it is a one-time convenience provided to them to avoid any issues.
NTA PhD Admission Test 2023: Important Application Correction Instructions
–– Once the application form has been submitted, candidates are not allowed to change their mobile phone number, email address or address.
–– Any of the following details including candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, photograph and signature can be changed by the candidate.
–– Candidates have the option to change their date of birth, gender, category and subcategory during the application correction period.
–– Candidates may change exam cities, subject to restrictions on current and permanent addresses.
With the exception of the language tests, most questions on the PhD entrance exam will be asked in English. The test is conducted online in the style of multiple choice questions (MCQ), with a total of 100 questions to be answered within three hours. The NTA PhD entrance test is offered online at 97 locations, with students able to choose their preferred location.
The entrance exam consists of two parts: part 1 on research methodology and part 2 on the specific subject chosen by the applicant. A candidate may choose a maximum of three courses, provided that the dates of the two exams do not conflict.
