Born in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, Navya Hisaria scored full marks in the Joint Engineering Examination (JEE) Main 2022. Not only did he score 100 percent, but also 300 points out of 300. A perfect score doesn’t stop Navya from taking the exam again. The topper intends to appear for the second session of JEE Main 2022 for practical reasons.
While taking the high-pressure exam, the topper said to help him practice his time management skills. Even if he scores less in the second term, according to the rules, the better of the two attempts will be counted in the final result. So Navya has nothing to lose.

“These JEE Main attempts teach me how to complete the paper within the given time frame and manage the time well. One can be fully aware of how much preparation they are by trying the exam, it’s like an exercise (JEE Advanced),” said the topper. He is now preparing for JEE Advanced.
Shortly after completing his class 10 board exams, in 2020, he started preparing for JEE Main. The 17-year-old now wants to crack the IIT entrance – JEE Advanced 2022 to secure a seat at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay for his coveted computer science course.

A student of the Allen Career Institute, Kota, Navya said he relied completely on notes and homework he was given every day. “I didn’t refer to extra books, but I attended my coaching classes regularly and did homework based on each day’s lesson,” he said.
When asked how he managed his board preparation for class 12 along with JEE Main, he said “since physics, chemistry and math for class 12 boards and JEE Main syllabus are based on the common syllabus, so all the preparations I did the technical entrance was also automatically covered for grade 12 exams, he adds.For English, it was his school’s online classes and notes during the pandemic that helped him prepare.

Navya said he made the decision to become an engineer just two to three months before his class 10 exams. “By that time I had made the decision to study and pursue engineering,” he says.
While his father is a businessman, his mother is a social worker. He graduated 10th and 12th at a CBSE affiliated Apala School of Education in Hanumangarh. For his 10th, he received 97.40 percent while his 12th results are awaited. The CBSE results are expected to be announced at the end of July.
