The Maharashtra Board of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary And Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) completed the class 10 or SSC exams on Tuesday. After several physical and online protests, the MSBSHSE has conducted physical exams for the 10th grade students after two years. Now with the exams on average, the evolution process will begin and the board is expected to release the result in June.
The SSC exams were held between March 15 and April 4. In contrast to previous years, both the paper timing and the evaluation criteria have changed this year. This time, the Maharashtra board gave the students 10 minutes to read the questionnaire and two hours and fifteen minutes for all subjects except language papers, which were given three and a half hours as they weighed 80 points. Another new thing this year is that the syllabus for both classes has been reduced by 25 percent and the question paper has been put on the reduced syllabus.
This year, those students who failed to appear for the Maharashtra SSC or class 10 student government drawing (elementary drawing exam) due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions are eligible for extra credits in the board exams. The grades will be awarded on the basis of the students’ performance in the interim drawing exams held earlier, said Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad.
Gaikwad previously made the announcement on Twitter. She said: “SSC students of the 2021-22 group, who were unable to take the government drawing (element drawing exam) due to the COVID-19 restrictions, are entitled to additional marks based on their grades in the intermediate drawing exams. held before. This will benefit deserving students,” Gaikwad tweeted. (sic)
Every year at least 20 lakh students register for Maharashtra Board exams including both SSC and HSC exams. However, last year Maharashtra’s board did not hold any exams due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Results based on an alternative assessment method were one of the best results ever recorded by the State Council. As many as 99.63 percent of the students who registered for the Maharastra HSC exams passed the board. In SSC, 95.30 percent of students passed the exam, again in one of the highest scores.
This year, some 3,73,740 students have registered for the SSC board exam in Mumbai. When the exams were over, several students also took to Twitter to express their relief.
