All over the world people are thinking about ways to make money. Some take the traditional ways while others come up with unique ideas. Such an idea caught the attention of Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra. He shared the video on Twitter showing a man charging a fee to help pedestrians on a wooden cart across a flooded street. Mahindra liked the video so much that he called it his “Monday motivation”. The video has been viewed more than 200,000 times and more than 10,000 users have liked it.
“Entrepreneurship & Entrepreneurship. It’s everywhere. Unstoppable,” Mr Mahindra said in his tweet.
The video was originally posted to Reddit last week and users claim it was shot in Barranquilla, Colombia. They said the situation turns into an absolute mess when there is rain.
The video shows a man in a blue T-shirt collecting money from two female pedestrians before offering to help them cross a flooded street just after rain. The man puts the money in a bottle and then moves a cart, where the two commuters get in to get to the other side of the road.
The video also shows other people waiting their turn to cross the road with the man’s cart, while he remains barefoot. After dropping the two women, he offers his service to two more people. The images show several cars crossing the road.
A few months ago, Mr. Mahindra shared a video showing an ingenious homemade invention (a jugaad) to pick fruit from trees.
The video shows an elderly man using a long stick with a plastic bottle on the end to pick the fruit. The bottle had one end, which the man used to open and close with the stick and pick the fruits.
