Everyone in the business world expects people to be on time; however, some individuals who feel they have the upper hand think they are exempt from this rule.
A person who appeared in an interview felt the same lethargy from the employer, and he left the interview after waiting for some time. The incident was posted on Reddit where it was shared by the individual, creating a discussion forum.
“I walked in the front door of the facility at 2:30 p.m. today, right when I was supposed to meet the director in the front lobby. I spoke to an employee who called him up and I was told he would be “just a minute.”
“At 2:45pm I just walked out and left. 15 minutes. I know our industry and there’s no good reason for me to wait more than a few minutes. All I see is a giant red flag waving: “This company is testing your patience because they want to make sure the candidate is desperate because they’re going to abuse him.”
I finished my interview today

The post unleashed a Pandora’s box of opposing views, which were displayed in the comment area.
“The interview for my current position started about 30 minutes late, but when I got there I was immediately informed that there was an issue that was being worked on. So I waited in the lounge and finally got to my interview. The main point was that someone immediately explained to me what was happening instead of just leaving me sitting there,” said one user.
“Yes, that’s understandable. Communication, grace and professionalism are strange notions these days,” another user wrote.
