The way to apply for a job has undergone a huge transformation over the years. Gone are the days of mundane cover letters and generic resumes. Some candidates often showcase their unique talents and skills in creative ways that attract attention and leave a lasting impression. One such incident was shared by Antimetal CEO Matthew Parkhurst on X, who received an internship application along with a box of pizza. The resume was taped to the top of the box by the named applicant, who was “super excited” about the opportunity. The US-based startup is a provider of cloud cost optimization platforms.
The applicant also included a handwritten note explaining that he wanted to apply for the position of Technical Intern at Antimetal. He said in the note that the pizza is a “bribe” for the recruiting team to visit his website and view his work.
“Inspired by Antimetal's short stint as a slicer as a service company, enjoy this pizza. I also brought a copy of my resume as an application for the technical intern position. I'm super excited about the opportunity and driven to do whatever it takes is,” reads the note the man attached.
Mr Parkhurst liked the idea and said David “will 100% get an interview”.
“Another internship application – came to our office and dropped off a pizza with his resume. Even pushed a PR to fix two links in our documents earlier. 100% got an interview,” Antimetal CEO said in his post on X.

The post attracted many responses from users wanting to know if David will get the internship. “There's more to filter for than just effort,” Parkhurst said while replying to a user.
