OpenAI's chatbot, ChatGPT, continues to make waves worldwide and surprises people with its exceptional capabilities. Since its arrival, people all over the world have been using the bot for various tasks. Now, a user's post about how the AI chatbot is his “only good colleague” has sparked a debate online.
The Reddit user stated that he performs tasks that normally require the help of nearly eight people by using an artificial intelligence (AI) bot. “I work in a corporate environment and have my own department. I work with a bunch of damn idiots. Most of them don't want or can't do their jobs,” he said.
The user claimed that he used to dread certain parts of his day, but the situation has now changed. “Before Chat GPT, I dreaded certain parts of my day. Now Chat GPT is the best colleague I have. I now actually enjoy going to work and creating custom GPTs to manage the work of about eight people.” I now drive to work thinking about how much fun I will have with GPT and the quality of work I will be able to deliver. It makes me look like a rock star. I don't have people in my life who understand GPT or so I just wanted to get it from my heart,” he wrote in the post.

Since the post was shared, it has generated many comments on the platform. Many people agreed with his views, but some said his department might be the problem.
“I work in information management. I use it to automate certain aspects of my work by letting it write Python scripts and tell me in plain English what those scripts should do. I used to ask these questions to a colleague. But ChatGPT delivers what I need in seconds, while my colleague would have needed half a day or more. However, I feel a little sorry for my colleague,” said one.
Another said, “Sometimes I have some problems at work, also look for direction and answers on Chatgpt. Of course, sometimes it may not be helpful, but it helped me through the frustrating moments.”
“I was asked by a friend if I use GPT chat every time I work and I thought, yes, absolutely no problem, it can streamline any task. I work so much more efficiently now, simple answer,” a third person wrote.
“That's amazing. A perfect example of AI being a great tool for humans,” said another Reddit user.
“I really feel sorry for people who have to work this way. ChatGPT is great, but it can't replace good colleagues. You deserve a better team OP,” said one user.
Someone wrote: “Seeing how stupid ChatGPT can be makes me wonder what kind of work it could replace. It seems like your department was the problem.”
