Known as the Silicon Valley of India, Bengaluru has long been plagued with notorious traffic congestion. Every day, thousands of commuters are stuck in long lines, struggling to navigate the city’s chaotic roads. While incarcerated, many are even taking to social media to express their anger and share their experience through videos and photos. Now such a video of a driver finishing his entire lunch in Bengaluru traffic has caught the attention of social media users.
The video, shared on Instagram by user Sai Chand Bayyavarapu, shows a driver finishing his entire lunch while patiently waiting for the vehicles to emerge at the Silk Board Junction. He is seen eating his meal from a tiffin box and even drinking water, indicating that he has his stomach full.
“Peak Traffic Moment in Bengaluru,” read the post’s caption.

Shared a few days ago, the video has already garnered more than 2 million views and more than 220,000 likes. It has also sparked a debate about the city’s traffic problems. Some sympathized with the driver, others criticized the authorities for not doing enough to address traffic problems.
“It’s sad… The driver doesn’t even have time to sit down and eat because of the traffic,” one user wrote. “He can finish the food too,” another jokingly said.

A third user commented “Lol even I have breakfast while driving to the office. There are soooo many traffic hotspots where I’m literally on the same road for more than 15-20 minutes” while another commented “They have. Very hard living we realize that it is not easy to drive in Bangalore”.
Meanwhile, last month, a photo of a woman working on a laptop while stuck in Bengaluru traffic had taken the internet by storm. The image was clicked along the Koramangala-Agara-Outer Ring Road patch. “Peak Bangalore moment. Women working on rapido bike ride to office,” the Twitter post captioned it.
