New Delhi:
Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez released a statement on Saturday after a photo of her with alleged con man Sukesh Chandrasekhar made the rounds on social media.
Jacqueline took to her Instagram handle, requesting not to spread intrusive images or invade her privacy at a difficult moment, which she described as “a difficult time”.
The statement read: “This country and its people have always given me an enormous amount of love and respect. This also applies to my friends from the media, from whom I have learned a lot. I am going through a difficult period at the moment, but I am sure that my friends and fans will see me through it.”
“It is with this confidence that I would request my media friends not to distribute images of a nature that invades my privacy and personal space. You would not do this to your own loved ones, I am sure you would not do this to me either.” In the hope that justice and common sense will prevail. Thank you,” it continued.
Meanwhile, Jacqueline chose to disable the comment section of her Instagram post.
Jacqueline was linked to Chandrashekhar’s Rs 200 crore money laundering case. So far, she has recorded her statement three times before the emergency room. Earlier today, a new photo of the actor with the alleged scammer went viral. In it, she was seen getting a kiss from Chandrasekhar and having an obvious hickey.
According to reports, Jacqueline said she was also scammed by Sukesh, who claimed to be the owner of Sun TV and approached her with a movie offer. Chandrasekhar admitted to being in a relationship with Jacqueline but said it was unrelated to the case against him.
He allegedly led the deception and racketeering racket in coordination with prison officials and some outside employees.
