Ranchi:
Jharkhand Congress lawmaker Amba Prasad was interrogated for over six hours in a money laundering case yesterday, but hours before she released her debut music video on the occasion of one of the biggest tribal festivals in her state.
Ms Prasad launched her music video 'Jiya Harshaye' at a press conference in Ranchi last morning, ahead of Sarhul, a spring festival celebrated in Jharkhand to mark the beginning of the new year.
“It is a small initiative. I have been fond of music and dance since my childhood and we have created this on Sarhul,” said Ms Prasad, who both sang and danced in the nature video.

Next up was an intense grilling session at the Enforcement Directorate office, which lasted until 9 p.m. As she left, she told reporters that most of the questions they asked her were about the electronic devices seized from her and that she had been asked to appear again on Tuesday.
Her father and former minister Yogendra Sao were questioned by the agency on April 3 and 4 in a case of alleged extortion and land grabbing.
Before visiting the ED office on Monday, the 36-year-old MLA shared with reporters her love for music and dance and spoke at length about preserving culture.
She said that one day while she was humming some music, the idea of conveying a message through music came to her. The Barkagaon MLA said she shot this song in just an hour, while the video took about six hours to film.
“Music is part of life and I participate in it whenever I get a chance. Music calms the mind and gives us strength. This is scientific, it reduces mental stress,” she said.
Ms Prasad also spoke about the ED summons and said this was not the first time she had faced a challenge. “I have faced challenges since childhood, but I believe the truth will prevail in the end,” she had said.
The ED had raided the premises of Ms Prasad and her father in March in connection with an investigation into alleged extortion, tax collection, illegal sand mining and land grabbing. The agency claims to have seized “Rs 35 lakh unexplained cash, digital devices, fake stamps of circle offices, banks, etc., and incriminating documents”, and documents related to illegal sand mining in Jharkhand.
