Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the first-ever National Training Conclave at the International Exhibition and Convention Center at Pragati Maidan in Delhi on Sunday.
Representatives of training institutes for civil servants from all over the country took part in the conclave.
It was organized by the Capacity Building Commission with the aim of promoting cooperation between civil service training institutions and strengthening the training infrastructure for civil servants across the country.
More than 1,500 representatives of training institutes, including Central Training Institutes, National Administrative Training Institutes, Regional and Zonal Training Institutes and Research Institutes took part in the conclave.
Officials from central government departments, state governments and local governments, as well as private sector experts, also participated in the deliberations, according to an official statement.
“This diverse meeting will promote the exchange of ideas, identify the challenges we face and the opportunities available, and generate actionable solutions and comprehensive capacity-building strategies,” the statement said.
The conclave included eight-panel discussions, each focusing on key issues relevant to public service training institutions, including faculty development, training impact assessment, and digitization of content, among others.
