A terrorist involved in the recent attack on CRPF personnel in the city was killed, while three security forces were injured in a meeting in Srinagar on Sunday, police said.
Security forces launched an impeachment and search operation in the city’s Bishember Nagar area after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the area, a police official said.
As the troops searched the area, the terrorists fired at them.

The security forces retaliated, which resulted in a meeting where the terrorist was killed, the official said.
Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said the slain terrorist was involved in the attack on the CRPF in the Maisuma area of the city on April 4, which killed one force trooper and another. was injured.
“One of the #terrorists involved in the recent #terror attack on CRPF personnel, killed while meeting with #Srinagar and another is incarcerated. #Meeting is underway,” the IGP said on Twitter.
The official said terrorists threw a grenade at the meeting point, causing splinter injuries to a CRPF personnel and two police officers. The injured were taken to the Army 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar.
