The official opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center took place on Friday evening and was attended by the best business people (NMACC). Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Karan Johar were among the many celebrities who attended the event. While several celebrity videos from the event have gone viral, the crowd responded with great enthusiasm to Nita Ambani’s performance at the opening ceremony.
The Nita Mukesh Ambani Culture Center was announced in Nita Ambani’s speech, parts of which are quoted below.
fragments:
Thank you. Dhanyawaad.
Namaskar.
On behalf of our Cultural Center and the entire Civilization to Nation team, thank you for your first and most spectacular audience! It has been a great pleasure and honor to present this musical chronicle of India. As they say, India is where it all started.
Our culture has not only survived, but has thrived for thousands of years. We are one of the oldest living civilizations in the world. Also the most diverse. And at the same time, we have one of the youngest population groups in the world. Today we are in the Amrit Kaal of modern India.
An auspicious time to start a glorious new chapter for a proud, prosperous, strong and confident nation of 1.4 billion Indians.
For Mukesh and me, the NMACC is a dream come true. For a long time we dreamed that India would have a world-class cultural center. We wanted to create a space to promote and celebrate our artistic and cultural heritage…
In film and music,
In dance and drama,
In literature and folklore,
In the field of arts and crafts,
In science and spirituality,
That is all India’s intangible national wealth.

Dear friends,
Culture weaves the threads of mutual understanding, tolerance and respect that bind communities and countries together. Culture brings hope and happiness to humanity. Therefore, as an artist, I hope that this center becomes a space that celebrates the arts, the artists and the public. A space that our people can be proud of
heritage.

We envision this center becoming home to not only the best talent from Indian cities, but also from our small towns and most remote villages. I really hope this space continues to inspire and empower our future generations.
As long as we have the stage, we have a voice. And as long as we have a voice, we have the power to tell our stories, stories to shape our history, stories to create a new Tryst with Destiny, and stories to change the world for the better!
Honored guests
When I performed on stage in this Grand Theater today, I couldn’t help feeling the same excitement from the Nita, when she was six years old! Even after all these decades of being on stage, I still feel the same energy and gratitude that I felt at that young age. Be it my Bharatnatyam performances or the college plays I have been working on. I still remember when my first play was in college with a young talented actor named Feroz. And as they say, life is round… I am very happy that my friend Feroz is here with me today, as the director of the first theater performance
presented by the NMACC!

My dear friends,
Before I finish, I want to thank my family for their faith and trust in me. I especially want to remember my father-in-law, Shri Dhirubhai Ambani, who believed in women’s empowerment, and who encouraged me to think big and chase my dreams. I was deeply moved when I performed the bhajan Raghupati Raghav, a favorite of my father Shri Ravindrabhai, whose gentleness and compassion continue to guide me.
I want to thank my mom who is with us in the audience today for her love, positivity, spirituality and hard work in making me the person I am. My mother-in-law who is also here today because she is a source of constant inspiration and motivation. My six children – Isha, Anand, Shloka, Akash, Radhika and Anant – for their love, support and enthusiasm.
You are all my strength! My three precious grandchildren – Prithvi, Aadiya Shakti and Krishna. They are the pure joys of my life. I hope art touches their lives in the most beautiful ways. May art continue to inspire and empower each child and generations to come, giving them the opportunity to celebrate their creativity, their choices, their differences, their hopes and their dreams.
And of course I want to thank my dearest husband Mukesh who has always believed in all my dreams. Nothing would have been possible without you Mukesh. Thank you for making life’s journey so beautiful.
And now it is with immense pride and joy that I declare the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center open. It is our humble devotion to New India!
