While there were some great performances, the IPL 2024 match between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals drew attention to a completely different issue. There was a huge controversy over a controversial catch by Shai Hope to dismiss Sanju Samson. Samson, batting on 86, hit Mukesh Kumar straight to the ground but was caught in the deep by Hope. However, while completing the catch, he came extremely close to the boundary line. The third referee gave him off, but Samson refused to leave the field. He continued to talk to the official before leaving.
There has been a lot of debate over the issue, with the internet divided over whether he was gone or not. Now, in a new video from official broadcaster Star Sports, it's pretty clear that Samson was out. The video showed that Shai Hope's leg did not touch the pillow. In the video, IPL-winning coach Tom Moody explained how the 'boundary cushion' never moved when Shai Hope took the catch.
Out or not out!?

However, Navjot Singh Sidhu said in a separate video that Hope had touched the boundary rope.
“The decision that changed the game was the dismissal of Sanju Samson. There may be disagreements, but if you look at the sideways angle, it hits the mark twice. It was quite clear. Either you don't use technology, or If you use it uses and the technology makes a mistake, then it is like there is a fly in the milk and someone asks you to drink it,” Sidhu said on Star Sports.
“It touched the boundary twice. And after this, if anyone says it's over… look, I'm a neutral person, so I've seen it, it's not over. That's why I kept saying it about Kohli too. (on his dismissal against KKR, which sparked controversy over possible no-ball).Whatever the rule is, you can see it with the naked eye; some evidence is very strong not to believe Milk done, no one made a mistake. That's part of the game.
