Indian captain Rohit Sharma registered ducks in the first two T20Is against Afghanistan. With both teams set to battle it out in the third and final T20I on Wednesday, Rohit will be looking to end the series on a high despite growing concerns over his T20I future. Rohit had not played a T20I for over 14 months before this series. He was run out in the first game after a mix-up with Shubman Gill, while Fazalhaq Farooqi cleared him in the final game as India clinched the series.
Despite not having the best time with the bat, Rohit remains humble both on and off the field. Having said that, a traffic police officer, Ranjeet Singh, has revealed the Indian cricketer's special message for him.
Ranjeet, who works as a traffic police officer in Indore, revealed that he asked Rohit for an autograph, and was initially not given a chance to get one from the Indian skipper.
Taking to Facebook, Ranjeet revealed how Rohit took the help of Team India's bus driver to fulfill his wish.
“I love your energy. Wish you the best of luck,” Ranjeet shared a picture of Rohit's note for him.

Despite his poor form, Rohit believes the team has “ticked all the boxes” in the first two matches, praising the likes of Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
“We've ticked a lot of boxes in the last two games. They've had a great couple of years. Jaiswal has now played Test cricket and even T20. He's shown what he's capable of. He's got the talent and he's got a great range of shots. Dube is a big guy, very powerful and can handle the spinners. That's his role and he has come out and played two crucial innings for us,” he said after the second T20I.
With the 2024 T20 World Cup competition approaching, Rohit will be competing against a number of youngsters like Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, etc. for the opening spot in the team.
Virat Kohli, who made his T20I comeback after a 14-month gap, also seemed to have opted for an aggressive approach in the match. He scored a 16-ball 29 before dying at the hands of Naveen-ul-Haq.
