England and Australian cricketers, along with team staff and media, were reportedly evacuated from Birmingham’s Edgbaston due to fire alarms. The press conference involving Moeen Ali was interrupted after the fire alarm went off and forced evacuation took place. However, normality was quickly restored to the site and reports suggested it was a false alarm that caused the commotion. It is worth noting that the Ashes series between England and Australia kicks off on June 16 in Edgbaston.
We’re here to listen to Moeen Ali, but Edgbaston has been evacuated (presumably some sort of drill). Press conference could be on the street at this rate… pic.twitter.com/T6y4AH2YOk

As the cricketing world prepares for the Ashes series between England and Australia, it’s time to revisit one of the most important and historic chapters of cricket’s oldest rivalry. Of the 72 Ashes series played to date, Australia is largely on the winning side with 34 wins. England have won 32 titles, the rest ended in draws.
But of these 34 title wins, there was something very special about Ashes’ 1948 win for the Aussies. The Australian squad, led by legendary batsman Don Bradman, who was on his last tour to England, remained undefeated throughout the tour.
Australia captured the Ashes urn by beating England 4-0 in the series that lasted from June to August.
