Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma’s pre-match press conference ahead of the 2023 Cricket World Cup final against Australia was interrupted by a phone signal and his reaction has already gone viral on social media. Rohit was in the middle of his answer when a phone started ringing and he was visibly irritated by the interruption. “Kya yaar phone tape rakho yaar(Keep your phone off),” he quickly joked. The Indian cricket team is currently undefeated in the competition and will look to clinch their third ODI Cricket World Cup title when they face Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, Rohit explained his approach for one of the biggest matches of his career.
“Keeping it nice and easy and calm is what I believe in. I want to say the same thing, it will be nice to win it because we worked hard for it. A nice, balanced thought will be good. There will be laughter.” When I walk around the dressing room I see a bit of tense faces, I’m not going to hide it. But that’s the beauty of sports. We have to put on our playing face. Like I said, playing for India is as good as playing on the last day of the day. We have enjoyed our journey and now have time for a final push,” he explained.
The skipper of the Indian cricket team also entered the field at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
“There is a bit of grass on the track. The India vs Pakistan wicket was a lot drier. In my opinion it will be on the slower side. We will look at the pitch tomorrow and assess it. The temperature has dropped a bit.” also. I don’t know to what extent the dew will play a role. I don’t think the toss will play a big role,” he said.
