The match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals features some scintillating batting from Sunil Narine. The West Indies star hit a century off 49 balls. Earlier, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bowl first against Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 31 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Eden Gardens on Tuesday. Rajasthan Royals brought back Ravichandran Ashwin in the XI while Jos Buttler was one of the substitutes. Both had missed their last games due to injuries. Kolkata Knight Riders continued unchanged in the top-of-the-table clash between two teams ranked at numbers 1 and 2 in the points table.
During the match, Shah Rukh Khan also met Indian cricket great Jhulan Goswami.

Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson said he chose to bowl first as it could be better to bat in the second innings. “It might be better to bat here, but that's okay, we'll bowl first. Being back at Eden is special, it has a special atmosphere. Jos and Ash bhai are available for this match,” said Samson.
KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer also wanted to bowl first if he won the toss. “Yes, we wanted to bowl first because of the way it was screwed last. We are going with the same team,” he said at the toss.
There is not much distinction between the two teams with Kolkata Knight Riders winning 14 and Rajasthan Royals 13 in 27 matches between them.
