Asian Games 2023, latest javelin throw highlights: Star Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra defended his Asian Games gold medal on Wednesday with a best throw of 88.88 meters in the final in Hangzhou. Neeraj Chopra beat fellow countryman Kishore Jena for top honors. Kishore Jena overtook Neeraj Chopra at one point in the final with his personal best throw of 86.77 metres, but he finished with a silver medal as Neeraj then recorded his season’s best throw to regain the top spot. Earlier, Neeraj Chopra made a brilliant first attempt to throw the long-distance javelin, but it could not be put on the plate due to a technical glitch.
