President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday posted a video giving glimpses of his recent visit to India during Republic Day celebrations and emphasized that France wants “more and more investments” in India.
He praised India and stated that India will be in the front row in the transformation of the world.
“We have everything to say to a country like India, a democratic power, a demographic, economic and also technological power, which will be on the front row in the transformation of the world,” President Macron said in the video on .

Posting the video with the caption “A look back at an exceptional journey in India”, Macron further said: “For us, drinking chai tea is a habit.”
Macron said he felt “extremely honoured” to be part of the 75th Republic Day celebrations in the national capital.
“We were extremely honored to be part of such an important and unique day. This will be remembered forever,” he added.
The French president further praised the good relationship between the two countries, stating that even if relations between the two countries are good, the countries can still do much more.
“We have developed a series of collaborations and partnerships in different sectors with your country in recent years. And it is clear that we want to make more and more investments. Even if the relationship is very good, we can do much more. All is well, so far,” the video said.
Moreover, he emphasized that they want to have 30,000 students from India from France by 2030.
The French President visited India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and was the chief guest at the 75th Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted him warmly when he arrived at Kartavya Path. French contingents marched alongside Indian troops during the parade.
In a reaffirmation of the long-standing friendship between India and France, President Emmanuel Macron said: “Long live the friendship between France and India.”
At the start of his speech at a banquet hosted by President Droupadi Murmu, Macron expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm welcome extended to his delegation.
Macron shared his appreciation for the unique bond that transcends time and shared values.
Acknowledging the exceptional welcome, the French President recalled the five years since his last state visit, expressing his pleasure at returning to India after the resounding success of the Indian G20.
Macron talked about his visit to Jaipur, with Prime Minister Modi highlighting the symbolic moments that resonated with historical significance.
