A man dressed as Hanuman died today after suffering a heart attack during a performance at a Ramlila. The Ramlila was organized in Haryana's Bhiwani on the occasion of the grand inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
In a video of the shocking incident, Harish Mehta can be seen dressed as Lord Hanuman dancing at a local event. The act would end with touching the feet of Lord Ram. When Harish Mehta suffered a heart attack in the middle of the performance, he fell to the floor. People mistook it as part of the act and did not come to his aid. It was only after he didn't get up and didn't respond for more than a minute that people realized it was a medical emergency.
Later, he was taken to a hospital but was declared brought dead by doctors.
Harish Mehta had retired as a junior engineer in the electricity department. He was also a performer and had been performing as Lord Hanuman for 25 years.
