The match between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals IPL 2024 had a controversial moment surrounding the dismissal of Sanju Samson. The Rajasthan Royals batsman was on 86 and leading RR's 222-run chase in fine style against DC when he was caught by Shai Hope off Mukesh Kumar. It was a tight catch as Hope was almost on the boundary line. The third referee gave a zero, but Sanju Samson refused to leave. He kept talking to the umpires on the field even as DC owner Parth Jindal kept shouting 'Out hain'. As Samson walked back, the RR dugout reluctantly suggested he might reconsider that decision. However, it wasn't to be when he walked away.
Later, Varun Aaron, former India cricket expert and Star Sports expert, said, “I think from the angles shown it looked like a fair catch.

Earlier, in the match, Rajasthan Royals legbreak spinner Yuzvendra Chahal on Tuesday etched his name in the history books by becoming the first Indian to reach the milestone of 350 wickets in the T20 format. Chahal achieved the feat against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season.
In his 301st T20 match, DC skipper Rishabh Pant became his 350th victim in T20 format. The left-handed hitter went down and tried to place his shot across the field.
Pant mistimed his shot due to a lack of balance and sent it straight towards deep back square leg into the safe hands of Trent Boult.
As Chahal looked forward to celebrating his 350th T20 wicket, Pant walked back to the dugout with the score reading 15 (13).
Overall, former West Indian all-rounder DJ Bravo is the leading wicket-taker in the shortest format of cricket with a whopping 625 in 573 matches.
Afghan star spinner Rashid Khan is at the second spot with 572 wickets to his name in 424 matches. The third spot is occupied by Sunil Narine, the in-form all-rounder of Kolkata Knight Riders. The veteran star has 549 wickets in 509 matches.
Chahal is the fifth spinner to claim 350 wickets in the T20 format. Rashid Khan (572), Sunil Narine (549), Imran Tahir (502) and Shakib Al Hasan (482) precede him.
In the DC match against RR, the 33-year-old spinner proved expensive as he ended his four-over stint with a wicket, giving away 48 runs at an economy of 12.00.
DC posted a huge total of 221/8 after explosive knocks from Jake Fraser McGurk, Abishek Porel and Tristan Stubbs.
