A train was seen shooting high into the night sky through a Canadian city on Sunday. The dramatic footage was captured by shocked witnesses who reported that the Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway (CPKC) freight train passed through a residential area in Otario London with its five gondola cars on fire. There were no injuries, but damage to the railcars was estimated at $25,000.

According to reports, the cars were carrying used railway sleepers, which were on their way to disposal.
The train eventually came to a stop in a residential area in front of an office building and an apartment complex near Richmond Street and Pall Mall Street, CBC News reported.
It took firefighters almost 90 minutes to extinguish the fire. The London Fire Department thanked “several 911 callers” who alerted authorities about the burning train. “We were able to arrive on site and bring the fire in the city center under control very quickly, with limited damage and no injuries,” X says.
The train was eventually moved to a rail yard where firefighters continued to work to extinguish the smoldering material. A fire department official did not indicate how the fire started but claimed the incident was being treated as an arson incident.
