New Delhi:
There was more than one reason to celebrate in the Bachchan household today. In addition to the Rakhi festival, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his family were visited by West Bengal Prime Minister Mamata Banerjee at their home in Jalsa in Juhu in Mumbai. In the photos that have emerged, we see Amitabh Bachchan, his wife Jaya Bachchan, son Abhishek, daughter-in-law Aishwarya and granddaughter Aaradhya gathering at the entrance of the house to welcome the chief minister as she steps out of her car. The photos show everyone dressed in their traditional clothes.
According to PTI, Amitabh Bachchan had invited the prime minister for tea during her visit to Mumbai to attend the third meeting of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance.

The Bachchans were joined for the occasion by the Don star’s daughter Shweta Bachchan and granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda. After spending some quality time with the Bachchan family, the CM also posed for some photos with them.
The Paa star and Mamata Banerjee previously crossed paths at the opening ceremony of the Kolkata International Film Festival last year, where the CM demanded that he be awarded the country’s highest civilian honour, Bharat Ratna, for his contribution to Indian cinema.
“Although not official, we will be making this demand from Bengal to honor Amitabh Bachchan with the Bharat Ratna award for his contribution to Indian cinema for such a long time,” the CM told PTI.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will next be seen in an upcoming pan-Indian film Kalki 2898 AD alongside Deepika Padukone and Prabhas.
