Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday visited the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, his first visit since the temple's inauguration in January.
During a televised ceremony two days ahead of the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Modi was seen prostrating himself before the idol of Ram Lalla.
Earlier in the day, he had addressed rallies in Etawah and Sitapur.
The entrance gates to the temple were decorated with flowers, with 'Om' formed by yellow petals. Replicas of a bow and arrow made with flowers were also seen in several places.
According to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Ram Lalla, who was sitting in the temple, wore a light pink attire on Sunday.
“In Ayodhya, I prayed to Prabhu Shri Ram for the well-being of my fellow Indians of 140 crore,” PM Modi posted on X after the visit.

The voting in the Faizabad Lok Sabha seat, under which Ayodhya district falls, will take place in the fifth phase of elections on May 20.
After the temple visit, the Prime Minister held a mega roadshow.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the BJP's Faizabad candidate Lallu Singh accompanied him.
People lined up on both sides as the Prime Minister's motorcade passed through.
A group of women dressed in saris walked in front of the Prime Minister's vehicle.
The roadshow, which started from the temple entrance, ended at Naya Ghat Road intersection, two kilometers away, party officials said.
