A day after making “Rahul [Gandhi] on fire,” former Pakistani minister Fawad Hussain addressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. In a post on For hours I have been thinking about what can be positive in an extremist, dogmatist and hater? (sic)“
“Someone who is proud of 'ghus k Marna', someone who justifies killing people just because of faith? Who demolishes mosques to change history and take pride in extremist ideology?” said Hussain, a former minister in Pakistan cabinet of Imran Khan.
Hussain's statement criticizing Prime Minister Modi came a day after he praised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi through a video, in which the opposition leader said Prime Minister Modi only works for “2-3 percent people”.
Following Hussain's post, Prime Minister Modi on Thursday targeted Rahul Gandhi, saying the neighboring country was keen to make India's old party's 'shehzada' the next prime minister as the country's enemies want a weak government at the helm .
Addressing a rally in Gujarat, the Prime Minister said: “The Congress is dying here and Pakistan is crying.” Referring to the Uri surgical strike and Balakot airstrike, he said: “Today India is giving doses, not files. We're hunting them now. [terrorists] in their own home [ghar me ghus kar maarte hai].”
Hussain tweeted Prime Minister Modi's comments against Rahul Gandhi and said“Looks like #Modi g is very angry about my statement….#Indianections”.
The 2024 Lok Sabha elections in India will be held in seven phases. The first phase took place on April 19 and the second phase took place on April 26. The third phase will now take place on May 7.
The mammoth elections, Prime Minister Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the INDIA bloc, of which Congress is a part, are the main parties contesting the polls. There are several regional parties in the fight.
