The strong response comes soon after Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena urged the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to initiate a probe against Kejriwal for allegedly receiving political funding from the banned terrorist organization. “Sikhs for Justice.”
Speaking to ANI, Shazia Ilmi said: “These are very serious allegations. It has hardly been a secret that Arvind Kejriwal and his party have had strong ties with Khalistani sympathizers and Khalistani supporters.”
“Now if you look at the complaint, you will realize that it contains a video in which the leader of 'Sikhs for Justice', the banned terror group, its head Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, actually says and reveals that Arvind Kejriwal has come close to the case . ₹$616 million from 2014 to 2022 in lieu of a letter of release or pardon for Devendra Pal Bhullar, a terrorist convicted by the TADA court in the Delhi bomb blast case,” she added.
Kejriwal's AAP received political funding from Khalistani groups: LG Saxena
LG on Monday received a complaint alleging that the AAP had received huge amounts of money from the extremist Khalistani groups for facilitating the release of Devendra Pal Bhullar.
Following this, Saxena, referring to a video in which Pannun shows that Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party has received money from them, wrote to the Union Home Minister: “I am directed to file a complaint dated 01.04.2024 (in original) received from Ashoo Mongia National General Secretary (World Hindu Federation India), along with the printout of messages on platform 'X' (formerly Twitter), made by D. Munish Kumar Raizada, former employee of the Aam Aadmi Party, referred to in the attached letter and a pen drive as received.”
He further stated that “the complainant in his communication has referred to the contents of a video (in attached pen drive), allegedly featuring Gurpatwant Singh Pannun (Khalistani terrorist and founder of banned organization Sikhs For Justice), in which he has alleged that The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by Arvind Kejriwal, has received a staggering amount of $16 million in funding from Khalistani groups between 2014 and 2022. It is also alleged that in 2014, a clandestine meeting took place between Kejriwal and pro-Khalistani Sikhs at Gurudwara Richmond Hills, New York. During the said meeting, Kejriwal promised to facilitate the release of Devender Pal Bhullar, in return for substantial financial support from Khalistani factions to the Aam Aadmi Party.
