Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are unlikely to form a coalition with the Pakistan People's Party (PPP). They claim that 'it is not an appropriate form of government' and also 'that it is not easy'. to deal with the Zardaris on a daily basis'. Last week, PML-N announced an alliance with PPP and four other parties and in a surprise move nominated Shehbaz for the post of Prime Minister.
Soon after, Shehbaz said: “Today we have united to tell the nation that we all accept the split mandate. I am grateful to Zardari and Bilawal (Bhutto) for deciding that their party would vote for the PML-N.”
He further promised to get the country out of trouble and said, “Now our war is against the country's challenges. The first challenge is the economy. We have to stabilize it, which is a big task. Nations move forward when their leadership unites and resolves to end conflicts and move the nation forward to solve problems.”
Meanwhile, Asif Ali Zardari, who spoke along with Shehbaz, said a coalition government is the need of the hour. He said, “We have decided to form a coalition government and pull the country out of the economic crisis,” adding that the new government would also try to reconcile with everyone, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party Imran Khan.
The six parties that have announced that they will form a coalition are PML-N, PPP, MQM-P, PML-Q, IPP and BAP.

“The PML-N supremo now realizes that it is better to sit in the opposition benches,” the report said
Who will form the next government in Pakistan?
Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party-backed independent candidates dominated the election results, but the coalition of PML-N, PPP, MQM-P, PML-Q, IPP and BAP secured a majority, polling 152 general seats
