Prime Minister Modi said on Monday that he had informed the Pakistani government about the Balakot airstrike before it broke in the media, saying that “Modi neither hides things nor hides attacks.”
The Prime Minister claimed that he does not believe in attacking from behind and fights openly face to face. In the case of Balakot airstrikes, he disclosed information about it and the destruction caused by the enemies even before the news broke.
“I had asked the armed forces to call the media and inform them, but I said earlier that I will inform Pakistan on phone about night airstrikes and the destruction caused, but the people of Pakistan did not answer the phone. So I asked the armed forces to wait, and after informing them, we later announced to the world about air strikes that took place during the night,” he said.
Further warning those who are trying to kill innocent people in the country, Modi said, “This is Naya Bharat (New India), Ghar me ghuskar ke maarega (kills within one's (enemy's) territory).”
Modi addressed a mega election rally in Karnataka.
Congress plans religion-based reservations: PM Modi
In Karnataka, Modi accused the Congress of planning religion-based reservations for vote bank politics. He vowed to prevent this, alleging that the Congress wants to appease minorities as SC/ST and OBC communities support the BJP.
“In Karnataka, Congress has started a campaign to change the Constitution and take away the rights of SC/ST and OBCs. Our Constitution does not accept reservations based on religion. But the Karnataka government has given some of the OBC reservation to Muslims.” Modi said.
He said, “They (Congress) will not settle for this. They had also said earlier in their manifesto that they would come up with a law to provide religion-based reservations. This time, there is a similar signal in their manifesto. ”
“I want to make my Dalit, SC/ST and OBC brothers and sisters aware of the intentions of the Congress. These people on the basis of religion, to keep their vote bank safe, are planning to plunder your right given by Babasaheb Ambedkar and the Constitution,” he added.
