The Congress on Wednesday responded to Prime Minister Modi's comment: “Shehzada gets black money from Adani-Ambani?” to Rahul Gandhi, saying the Wayanad MP has finally forced the Prime Minister to expose corruption by leveling serious allegations against industrialists Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani.
“Narendra Modi has leveled serious allegations against Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani. Adani and Ambani give away black money in bags. Ultimately, Rahul Gandhi forced Prime Minister Modi to expose corruption,” the grand old party wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also responded to Prime Minister Modi's comments on Rahul Gandhi's Ambani-Adani deal and said the Wayanad MP talks about Adani every day.
“Today Narendra Modi said: Rahul Gandhi is not taking Adani's name. The truth is this: Rahul Gandhi talks about Adani every day, he puts before you and exposes the truth about Adani every day,” said Priyanka Gandhi in UP's Rae Bareli.
“Rahul Gandhi tells you every day that Narendra Modi has links with big industrialists. Narendra Modi opted out ₹16 lakh crore from his friends but did not part with a single rupee from the farmers. Narendra Modi should answer this,” she added.
PM Modi's 'Ambani-Adani' jibe at Rahul Gandhi
The comments came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi counter-attacked Rahul Gandhi's charge of crony capitalism, asking “why Shehzada (Congress leader) suddenly stopped talking about Ambani and Adani in these elections?”
“For years, Congress has been talking about the…'5 industrialists', 'Ambani', 'Adani'…But since the elections were declared, they have stopped abusing Ambani, Adani…,” he said while addressing an election rally in Telangana's Warangal today.
“Why? I want to ask the Congress Shehzadey how much black money did they receive from Adani, Ambani? How much did the Congress party 'receive' from those industrialists before the elections?”, the Prime Minister asked.
Rahul Gandhi often accuses Prime Minister Modi and his government of prioritizing the interests of industrialists over those of marginalized communities.
