Two people have been charged in Austria after they were discovered playing Adolf Hitler speeches and Nazi slogans over the sound system of a train traveling from Bregenz to Vienna.
When the Nazi commander’s comments started playing on the train, many people seemed extremely upset.
Green Party legislator David Stoegmueller videotaped his reaction to the recording, which could be heard in the background. The politician claimed that the train conductor was ‘helpless’ and could not turn off the salutes.
“In the RailJet 661, several calls from “Sieg Heil” have just been broadcast over the loudspeaker system. The train conductor is completely helpless,” the politician wrote on Twitter.
“I hope there will be a report and clarification as soon as possible.”

According to The BBCAustrian railways issued a statement saying: “We clearly distance ourselves from the contents.
“We can currently assume that the announcements were made by people directly on the train via intercoms. We have reported this to the police,” said the Austrian railways.
The incident comes after two trains were manipulated last week to broadcast a “nonsensical, confusing mix” of nursery rhymes and old, flawed announcements, says OeBB spokesman Bernhard Rieder saood.
The latest incident, which sparked public outcry, reportedly included Hitler salutes and what appeared to be historical recordings of Adolf Hitler speeches.
All three incidents occurred when OeBB trains were traveling through the same stretch between the eastern Austrian city of St. Poelten and the capital Vienna, Rieder added.
