The Russian news agency RIA quoted one of its reporters on Saturday as a huge cloud of smoke billowing into the sky after an explosion in the southeastern Ukrainian city of Avdiivka, where a chemical plant is located.
Avdiivka, currently held by Ukrainian forces, is located just north of the city of Donetsk, which is controlled by Russian-speaking separatists.

RIA posted a video allegedly taken from Donetsk showing a large cloud of smoke rising from Avdiivka.
Reuters could not immediately confirm the RIA report or the authenticity of the video.
At least 10 people were killed and 15 injured by Russian shelling at a coking plant in Avdiivka in early May, the regional governor said.
The coking plant belongs to Ukrainian steel company Metinvest BV, which in March said shells had hit the plant’s territory and damaged some of its facilities. The factory had already suspended operations after the invasion of Russia.
