London:
Catherine, Princess of Wales, shared the second photo of her children in as many weeks on Thursday as she remains out of the public eye while battling cancer.
The 42-year-old future queen was credited with taking the photo of Princess Charlotte to mark her ninth birthday, which was shared on royal social media platforms.
Congratulations on your 9th birthday, Princess Charlotte! 🎂
Thank you for all the sweet messages today.

On April 23, she also reportedly stood behind the camera for a photo of her youngest son Prince Louis on his sixth birthday.
Charlotte is currently third in line for the throne, behind her older brother Prince George, 10, and their father, Prince William, 41.
Both photos followed an outcry in March over a Mother's Day photo of Catherine and her three children, which she later admitted had been digitally altered.
The photo, which was reportedly taken by William, was aimed at dispelling speculation about her health and whereabouts after she underwent abdominal surgery in January.
But the edits, which saw leading news agencies including AFP hijack the image, only fueled rumors and she later admitted in a video that she was being treated for cancer.
The British royal family has been hit by the forced withdrawal from public life of Kate, as she is widely known, and her father-in-law King Charles III due to cancer treatment.
Neither the king's office at Buckingham Palace nor William and Kate's office at Kensington Palace have disclosed which type of cancer each royal has.
Charles, 75, made his first official public appearance on Tuesday when he visited a cancer treatment and support center in central London.
His return was prompted by doctors who said they were “very encouraged” by the progress of his treatment.
