Last month, a PTI report revealed that Bumah had started bowling with the NCA and could soon start playing a few exhibition games.
“For an injury of this nature it is not wise to set a timeline as constant monitoring is necessary. But it can be said that Bumrah is recovering well and he has bowled seven overs at NCA nets. It is a steady increase in his workload.” from the light workouts and bowling sessions of the early days. He will play a few exhibition games (at NCA) next month, and then there will be an accurate assessment of his condition,” a source who followed the development told PTI.
Former Team India strength and conditioning coach Ramji Srinivasan said extreme caution should be taken when bringing Bumrah back.
“He shouldn’t be in a rush. Playing exhibition games at the NCA is a good step as it will help his body adapt to the demands of a game. But he needs to be forced to play in some real (domestic) games before he comes to the top.” level cricket,” Ramji had said.
