Eight games, seven defeats and a solitary victory. From now on, every match is a must-win for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who remain anchored at the foot of the IPL 2024 points table. On Thursday, RCB will take on the in-form SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), having already lost to the Pat Cummins-led side at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in a high-scoring match. On the eve of the match, SRH captain Pat Cummins walked up to RCB icon Virat Kohli for some healthy banter during a joint training session in Hyderabad.
In a viral video, Kohli was seen on the ground when Cummins, all stepped up, approached the former for a chat.
“The coach said I made that wicket look flat. That's all I heard,” Cummins told Kohli.
Virat had a wry smile on his face as he replied, “You're too good, Pat.”
The interaction between the two has gone viral on social media.

Before the match, Cummins expressed his admiration for Kohli and his top favorite memory of the star batsman.
“My favorite memory of Virat Kohli, can I say when I take him out? (Laughs) I admire him a lot, he is always in the game whether it is batting or bowling. He is super competitive,” Cummins told Star Sports.
The last time SRH faced RCB, it turned out to be a runfest.
Batting first, SRH recorded their biggest ever IPL total of 287/3, going past the previous figure of 277 they achieved against Mumbai Indians earlier in the season.
The match produced the highest total for a T20 game with a total of 549 runs as RCB hit 262 in the chase.
Kohli has scored the most points for RCB this season despite their problems. He holds the Orange Cap, awarded to the tournament's top scorer, after amassing 379 runs in eight matches.
