The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced an extension of the exam dates for the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET UG) 2023. According to the notice, the CUET UG exam will now be held until June 17. The official announcement can be accessed at cuet.samarth.ac.in.
According to reports, the results of the CUET UG 2023 exams, which were originally expected to be published around June 20, are now likely to be announced in the first week of July. This information was shared by a senior official. The majority of the 2023 CUET exams are expected to take place in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and Jharkhand, with the exams likely to be completed on June 17. CUET results are expected within 15 days of the conclusion of the exams.
More than 65,000 candidates are yet to appear for the CUET UG 2023 exam, according to NTA officials, as reported by the Times of India (ToI). Originally scheduled from May 21 to May 31, the CUET exam was previously extended to June 7. This is the second extension of the student entrance exam.
“There are some cities where the number of registered candidates is very large, so the CUET (UG) 2023 exam will be extended to June 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17, 2023,” the NTA’s official post read. As a result, candidates whose exams have not yet been scheduled will receive their city registration form and admission ticket at a later date.
NTA has recently uploaded the CUET 2023 admission cards for exams from June 9 to June 11. The agency will soon release the official dates for the further rounds of the exam.
This year, more than 14 lakh candidates have registered for the CUET UG exam, an increase of 41 percent from the first edition of the exam last year. By the number of applications, the CUET UG exam is the second largest admission test in India. In the first iteration, about 12.5 lakh student registrations and 9.9 lakh applications were made.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the CUET UG 2023 study in four phases. Stage 1 of the exam was held from May 21 to May 24, Stage 2 was held from May 25 to May 28, Stage 3 was conducted from May 29 to June 2, and Stage 4 was conducted from June 5 to June 8. Phase 5 of the study is underway and will be completed on June 11.
