Delhi Education Minister Atishi claimed on Friday that improving school infrastructure is a top priority for the Kejriwal government, adding that creating a conducive learning environment is crucial for children’s overall development.
The education minister inspected a school under construction in Sangam Vihar on Friday, Delhi government officials said.
This magnificent 88-classroom school is being built by the government of Kejriwal to meet the educational needs of thousands of children in the area, the government said in a statement.
During her visit, Education Minister Atishi instructed officials to strictly follow the checklist and to complete the construction work of the school by June so that classes there can begin in July.
The new four-storey school in Sangam Vihar is divided into three blocks with a total of 88 classrooms, in addition to state-of-the-art laboratories, libraries, teachers’ rooms, a main office and a playground.
In addition to these facilities, the schools will also have a RUG tank, a RO room and a collection facility for rainwater.
This school is located in the busy streets of Sangam Vihar. Also, a unique feature of the school is that a bridge has been built to connect two blocks in the school, the statement said.
“Improving school infrastructure is a top priority for the Delhi government under Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to provide quality education to all children in the city,” said the minister.
Team Education of Delhi’s efforts have made parents proud and confident to send their children to Delhi government schools, she noted.
“To maintain this trust, several modern facilities are being added to these schools to ensure a bright future for the children of Delhi,” she added.
“The Minister of Education stressed that creating a conducive learning environment is crucial to the overall development of children, and this is a key focus of the government in developing school infrastructure,” the statement said.
