In Madhya Pradesh’s Manasa, Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDOP) Yashasvi Shinde has left the department in complete shock with her resignation. She reportedly wrote a letter to the police headquarters (Bhopal) and the Inspector General of Police (IG), Ujjain, and resigned from her post on Wednesday. According to reports, a transfer list was released by the Bhopal police on Tuesday. The list showed that SDOP Yashasvi Shinde was transferred from Manasa SDOP office to the post of DSP in Neemuch Ajak. This is the first time an officer has stolen the gazetted spotlight for being dismissed from office. However, no information is available as to why Shinde resigned from her position; whether the resignation letter has been accepted or not.
Before joining the police force, Yashasvi Shinde worked as a physiotherapist. She hails from Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. She started the journey to become a police officer after a trainee IPS officer visited her in 2013. The officer had difficulty moving one of his fingers and wanted to be treated for it. Despite many doctor visits, there was no improvement. Shinde helped the officer and he received physiotherapy for a month. Then his finger was healed.
When the treatment sessions were over, the trainee IPS officer told Shinde to be at the police station. He was impressed by Yashasvi Shinde’s hard work and dedication and advised her to join the police force. Shinde was inspired by his words and made the decision to prepare for the exams. After three years of continuous hard work at MPPSC, she was finally selected for the position of DSP. Yashasvi Shinde was also honored by the Home Minister for her achievements.
