Speaking at the third convocation of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University in Sikar, Kalraj Mishra said that the policy has ensured that students are proficient to some extent in all subjects
The new national education policy has been drafted after much deliberation and aims at ensuring overall development of students, Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra said on Friday.
Speaking at the third meeting of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University in Sikar, the governor said that there is a policy of ensuring that students are proficient to some extent in all subjects.
Students should use their education appropriately for the upliftment of society and nation, he said.
“Education is a cultural process that works to make a civilized, cultured and competent citizen by increasing his knowledge and skills,” said the governor.
He called on universities to become educational centers that will prepare the best citizens for the country.
In his speech, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University Vice Chancellor Bhagirath Singh said that the institute has launched 17 employment-oriented courses.
At the convocation, 70 gold medals were awarded to the students with the best academic performance. Diplomas were also distributed to students who passed out in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 academic sessions.
